TomTom completed a Diploma in Sign Language Interpreting at AUT in November 2012 and has been interpreting ever since. He has a wide variety of work experience including years working at a bakery and on constructions sites as well as volunteer work with the Salvation Army and New Zealand Red Cross. Tom first discovered his passion for New Zealand Sign Language through a tragedy of a friend and enrolled at AUT shortly after.

Outside of the Deaf community, Tom enjoys playing ‘touch Rugby’ socially and attending basketball games with family. An avid learner, Tom is currently learning HTML 5 programming.
